US Ready to Assist Nigeria in Combating Insecurity, Offers Intelligence Support

The Nigerian government and the US have discussed collaboration in the fight against insurgency and banditry. The US is willing to provide support, including intelligence assistance and defense equipment.

The Nigerian delegation, led by Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, engaged in high-level talks with US officials, emphasizing the need for joint efforts to combat terrorism and violent extremism. Both countries agreed to establish a cooperative framework and strengthen civilian protection measures.

The US also expressed readiness to offer humanitarian aid and technical support to Nigeria.
