FG Begins Selection Process for Five New Permanent Secretaries

The Federal Government has initiated the appointment process for five new Permanent Secretaries, following President Bola Tinubu's approval. The vacancies include two positions created due to recent retirements in Imo State and the Federal Capital Territory, as well as three zonal positions resulting from the creation of a new ministry.

The appointment process is designed to uphold transparency, credibility, and merit, in line with the government's commitment to good governance. Eligible officers at Grade Level 17 with a clean disciplinary record can apply, with the selection process involving screening by a committee of Permanent Secretaries under the supervision of agencies like the ICPC and DSS.

The candidates have completed asset declaration forms and clearance processes, with a written examination scheduled for September 15.
