Nigerian Government Calls for Applications to Strengthen Healthcare Workforce

The Federal Government of Nigeria has issued a final call for applications for the National Health Fellows Programme, aimed at enhancing primary healthcare delivery and boosting the capacity of the healthcare workforce nationwide. The program focuses on recruiting, training, and deploying young professionals to serve in all 774 local government areas.

Successful applicants undergo structured training covering public health principles, disease prevention, leadership, and data reporting. The initiative is supported by President Bola Tinubu and the Federal Ministry of Health, with a sector-wide approach to improving healthcare services in Nigeria.
