Gumi Claims FG Knows All Terrorists' Identities

In an interview with DRTV, Islamic scholar Sheikh Ahmad Gumi alleged that the Federal Government of Nigeria knows the identities and locations of all terrorists. He stated that he does not meet with them alone and expressed his willingness to support armed groups like the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and Boko Haram if they are ready to abandon violence and engage in dialogue.

Gumi emphasized that peace negotiations are essential for resolving the country's ongoing insecurity issues. He advocated for a balanced approach that combines military action with non-kinetic strategies, including intellectual engagement with stakeholders to address the root causes of violence.

Gumi pointed out that Nigeria's socio-economic challenges, such as poor infrastructure, unreliable electricity supply, inadequate healthcare services, and a weak education system, exacerbate insecurity. He believes that addressing these issues is crucial for achieving lasting peace in the country.
