FG, Lagos Collaborate on Land Titling, Registration

The Federal Ministry of Housing and Urban Development is collaborating with the Lagos State Government to host a stakeholder workshop on land titling and registration. The National Land Titling Registration Documentation Programme (NLTRDP) aims to streamline the process of land documentation in Nigeria.

Housing and Urban Development Minister Ahmed Dangiwa and Governor Babajide will be present at the workshop, which is expected to have high-profile attendees from the real estate, mortgage, and financial sectors. The federal government is working closely with the World Bank to implement land reforms that will unlock the potential of Nigeria's landed assets.

This collaboration follows the suspension of land allocation and reclamation activities along the Lagos Lagoon shoreline, as the government aims to ensure proper documentation and eliminate abuse in development approvals along the shoreline.
