Ogun State Honors Nigeria's Best Teacher with Awards

The Ogun State Government, led by Governor Dapo Abiodun, recognized Mr. Solank Taiwo as Nigeria's best teacher for the 2025 session, awarding him a brand new car and a two-bedroom bungalow. The ceremony took place in Abeokuta, where Governor Abiodun presented the prizes at the Ogun State capital.

Mr. Taiwo, a teacher at Ansar-Ud-Deen Main School in Kemta Lawa, had previously received a cash award of ₦50 million at the Federal Government's National Teacher Summit in Abuja for his exceptional performance and dedication to education. Governor Abiodun emphasized the administration's commitment to training and retraining teachers through workshops and seminars, highlighting the positive impact of educational reforms in Ogun State.

Prof. Abayomi Arigbagbu, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Education, noted that the recognition of Mr. Taiwo reflects the ongoing efforts to improve the educational sector and ensure that teachers are acknowledged for their contributions.
