FG Orders Closure of 41 Unity Schools Over Rising Student Abductions

The Federal Government has directed the immediate closure of 41 Unity Schools across Nigeria following a surge in student abductions. This decision, issued by the Director of Senior Secondary Education, Binta Abdulkadir, aims to enhance security and prevent further breaches in the wake of recent security challenges.

The move comes after multiple attacks on educational institutions, including the kidnapping of students in Niger and Kebbi states. President Bola Tinubu also canceled his trip to South Africa and Angola amid growing security concerns in northern Nigeria.
