FG Partners with Sinoma to Boost Affordable Housing

The Federal Government of Nigeria has initiated a partnership with Sinoma New Material Nigeria Company Limited to improve housing affordability for its citizens. The discussions took place in Abuja, led by the Minister of Housing and Urban Development, Ahm Musa Dangiwa.

The focus is on exploring collaborative areas, particularly in modern building technologies and local construction materials. Dangiwa emphasized the need for innovative technologies to reduce housing costs and improve delivery speed, as the current housing system fails to meet the demands of low and middle-income earners.

Eric, the chairman of Sinoma, praised the government's ongoing efforts and expressed the company's readiness to align with government goals for affordable housing. Sinoma's technology, including the Sinoboard fiber cement system, is designed to enhance construction efficiency and reduce costs.

The government plans to establish building material hubs nationwide to lower construction costs and support large-scale housing development, alongside the Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria to assist buyers in purchasing homes.
