FG Announces N1bn MSME Awards for 2026 in Nigeria

The Federal Government of Nigeria has announced a N1 billion package for the 2026 Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Awards, as disclosed by Temitola Adekunle Johnson, Senior Special Adviser to the President on Job Creation. The application portal will be open from April 7 to May 7, 2026.

The awards aim to provide direct financial support to MSMEs, marking a shift from previous editions that focused on major rewards. Johnson emphasized that the new approach will tailor support to immediate business needs and ensure wider distribution of financial rewards across various categories.

The awards will feature mentorship programs for winners, coordinated by relevant government agencies, which will also provide post-award support, including business advisory services and market access opportunities. The grand final is set for June 27, coinciding with the United Nations World MSME Day.

Sarah Ajayi from NAFDAC highlighted the importance of quality applications and regulatory compliance in the selection process.
