FG Renames Kaduna Institute After Shehu Musa Yar'Adua

The Federal Government of Nigeria has officially renamed the Kaduna Institute to the General Shehu Musa Yar'Adua Institute in recognition of the late General Shehu Musa Yar'Adua's significant contributions to Nigeria's democratic development and the transition to civilian rule. President Bola Ahmed Tinubu made this announcement on Friday during a Democracy Day address, where he paid tribute to individuals who played crucial roles in shaping the country's democratic journey.

President Tinubu emphasized that General Yar'Adua remains a key figure in the evolution of modern democracy in Nigeria and deserves national recognition for his vision and commitment to national unity. This renaming is part of the federal government's efforts to honor and preserve the legacies of individuals who contributed to Nigeria's democratic progress.

Additionally, President Tinubu announced that the full list of individuals to be honored, including 30 democracy activists and soldiers who participated in the June 12 struggle, would be released on the same day.
