Nigerian Government Reopens Student Loan Portal for 2025-2026 Academic Session

The Nigerian government, through the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (Nelfund), has reopened the student loan application portal for the 2025-2026 academic session. Oseyemi Oluwatuyi, the Director of Strategic Communication at Nelfund, emphasized the importance of universities updating and verifying student records for successful loan applications.

The portal will be accessible from October 23, 2025, to January 31, 2026, with guidelines provided for interested students. The initiative aims to provide financial support to students pursuing tertiary education across Nigeria.
