NELFUND Closes Student Loan Portal for 2025/2026 Applications

The Nigerian Loan Fund (NELFUND) will close its student loan application portal for the 2025/2026 academic session on September 30, 2025. The closure aims to finalize pending applications and ensure timely processing.

NELFUND's managing director, Akintunde Sawyerr, announced a new timeline for applications, with the portal reopening in the second week of October and remaining accessible until January 2026. Students are advised to update their records to avoid cancellation, as unverified applications will be automatically rejected.

The move aims to enhance access to tertiary education through student loans.
