Nigerian Government Reshuffles NCAA Directors Amid Corruption Allegations and Safety Concerns

The Nigerian government has approved a major reshuffle of senior directors within the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) due to growing concerns of corruption, inefficiency, and weakened regulatory oversight in the aviation sector. This move comes after serious aircraft incidents involving unscheduled flights in December 2025.

Festus Keyamo, the Minister of Aviation, has taken action to ensure aircraft safety and regulatory compliance. The Nigeria Safety Investigation Board (NSIB) released findings on two separate incidents involving aircraft crashes, prompting the reshuffle to address regulatory lapses and concerns.
