Nigerian Government Launches Rescue Operation for Abducted Schoolgirls in Kebbi State

The Nigerian government has initiated a comprehensive rescue operation for abducted schoolgirls in Kebbi State after armed bandits attacked Government Girls Secondary School in Maga, killing school officials and abducting female students. President Bola Ahm reaffirmed the government's commitment to protecting citizens, especially students.

Security agencies are actively pursuing the assailants to ensure the safe return of the abducted girls. Former Vice President Hassan Makuku was identified as a victim of the assault, sustaining injuries along with Ali Shehu.

The government is intensifying efforts to combat terrorism and enhance collaboration with regional security bodies like ECOWAS and the African Union.
