Senator Maidoki Confident in Imminent Rescue of Abducted Schoolgirls in Kebbi State

Senator Garba Maidoki of Kebbi South Senatorial District in Nigeria has stated that the abducted schoolgirls in Kebbi State will soon be rescued, as he has a fair idea of their whereabouts within the state. The recent abduction of 25 students from a girls' secondary school in Maga, Kebbi State, resulted in the death of the school's vice principal.

The Federal Government has directed security agencies to coordinate rescue operations, with Vice President Kashim Shettima visiting the affected community and President Bola Tinubu emphasizing the priority of ensuring the safe return of the girls. This incident has revived painful memories of the 2014 Chibok attack, where scores of schoolgirls were taken by gunmen.
