Nigeria to Launch National Trade Window on March 27, 2026

The Federal Government of Nigeria plans to launch a national single window (NSW) for trade and port operations on March 27, 2026. This initiative represents a significant step towards modernizing Nigeria's trade system through digital technology.

The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has declared its readiness for the new platform, which is designed to integrate government agencies involved in the import and export process into a single digital portal. This portal will allow traders to submit documents once, with information automatically shared among relevant regulatory institutions for approval.

NAFDAC's initiative is part of a strategic reform aimed at eliminating delays, reducing duplicative procedures, and improving transparency in Nigeria's trade and port operations. The agency has reaffirmed its commitment to the successful deployment of the platform, which is part of a broader effort to enhance the ease of doing business in the country.

NAFDAC has invested heavily in digitizing its regulatory processes, including the deployment of electronic systems for product registration, permits, inspections, and import/export clearance.
