Nigeria to Launch National Single Window Platform March 27

The Federal Government of Nigeria is set to launch the National Single Window (NSW) platform on March 27, a significant step towards transforming the country's trade ecosystem. Femi Gbajabiamila, the Chief of Staff to the President, described the initiative as a monumental advancement during a stakeholders' meeting at the State House in Abuja.

The NSW platform, which was first introduced by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu nearly two years ago, represents a major fiscal reform aimed at improving trade efficiency and strengthening Nigeria's global competitiveness. The Central Bank of Nigeria, Nigeria Revenue Service, and Nigeria Customs Service are among the agencies participating in this project.

The NSW project is expected to be fully operational by the first quarter of 2026, with a pilot test currently underway. Tola Fakolad urged government agencies to intensify support in the week leading up to the official launch, emphasizing that the document submission system will facilitate faster trade processes by sharing information across relevant agencies without duplication.
