Nigerian Government Partners with Top Companies to Train 1.3 Million Citizens in Skills Development Initiative

The Nigerian government, led by President Bola Tinubu, has unveiled a significant skills training initiative benefiting over 1.3 million Nigerians through technical and vocational education. The Ministry of Education, under Dr.

Tunji Alausa, has partnered with renowned companies like Dangote Cement, MTN, and others to establish 1,600 accredited training centers nationwide. The initiative aims to boost the country's workforce's global competitiveness by providing industry-aligned training, expert input, and work placement opportunities.

Additionally, the government, in collaboration with UNDP, plans to launch a digital innovation program for 30 young Nigerians to develop solutions in various sectors. Minister Ayodele Olawande highlighted the scheme's goal to empower youth with access to loans for entrepreneurship.
