FG Unveils New Curriculum for Nigerian Schools, Focus on Skill Development

The Federal Government of Nigeria has introduced a new curriculum for primary and secondary schools to enhance students' skills and knowledge for the modern world. The revised curriculum aims to reduce the number of subjects, improve content quality, and promote deeper learning while easing academic burden on students nationwide.

The overhaul followed a thorough review process involving key stakeholders like the Nigerian Educational Research and Development Council (NERDC) and others. The Minister of State for Education, Professor Suwaiba Said Ahmad, announced the changes, emphasizing the curriculum's focus on enhancing learning outcomes.

Subject allocations have been adjusted to align with the new educational goals.
