Nigerian Government Urges Engineering Focus to Enhance Food Security and Industrial Growth

The inauguration of Babagana Modu Tela as the 17th National Chairman of the Nigerian Institute of Mechanical Engineers underscores the importance of engineering expertise in driving industrial growth. The government aims to leverage engineering solutions to improve agricultural infrastructure, including mechanized irrigation systems and efficient storage facilities, to reduce post-harvest losses.

The focus on local manufacturing, human capital development, and engineering capacity building is crucial for achieving food sufficiency and industrialization in Nigeria.
