Fidelity Bank Aids 2,500 Families with Food Packs in Edo

Fidelity Bank Plc distributed food supplies to more than 2,500 beneficiaries across eight communities in Uromi and Irrua, Edo State, as part of its Fidelity Food Bank initiative. The distribution took place at the Uromi Town Hall in Esan Central Local Government Area.

Dr Meksley Nwagboh, Divisional Head of Brand and Communications at Fidelity Bank, stated that the initiative aims to provide immediate support and strengthen community resilience. The intervention aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 2, which focuses on ending hunger and improving nutrition.

Fidelity Bank distributes 10,000 food packs monthly through this program, collaborating with 19 partners across Nigeria. The Edo State Government, represented by Commissioner for Agriculture and Food Security Jerry Uwangue, commended the bank for its efforts and encouraged other organizations to undertake similar initiatives.

Since its launch in April 2023, the Fidelity Food Bank program has distributed over 300,000 food packs nationwide.
