Fidelity Bank Grants N25m to Empower 300 Women in Akwa Ibom

On September 11, 2026, Fidelity Bank Plc, through a partnership with Give Her Power and the Golden Initiative For All (GIFA), presented a N25 million business grant aimed at empowering 300 women in Akwa Ibom State. The event took place at Government House in Uyo, where Mrs. Pamela Shodipo, Executive Director of Fidelity Bank South South, emphasized the significance of the initiative in supporting women's empowerment, strengthening families, and fostering community development.

The bank also provided 50 grinding machines, 50 sewing machines, and 500 bags of foodstuffs to aid small-scale businesses. Shodipo articulated that empowering women contributes to broader economic growth and community prosperity.

She noted that the initiative aligns with Fidelity Bank's commitment to Akwa Ibom, which includes the recent opening of a new branch in Eket Local Government Area to enhance financial service access for local entrepreneurs.
