Fidelity Bank Empowers Women in Ikorodu with Tools

Fidelity Bank PLC has expanded its flagship women empowerment program, 'Give Her Power', to Ikorodu, Lagos State, providing vocational tools to support 30 women across the community. This initiative represents the third phase of a nationwide rollout, with beneficiaries from Ikorodu Central, Ikorodu West, and Ikorodu North Local Government Areas receiving items such as 12 sewing machines and 15 grinding machines.

The program aims to improve household income and support small businesses. During the empowerment event, Nnamdi Edekobi, representing Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Nneka Onyeali-Ikp, emphasized the initiative's design to provide practical, sustainable economic support to women.

Mekslei Nwagboh, Division Head of Brand Communication at Fidelity Bank, described the Ikorodu activities as a strategic grassroots intervention targeting underserved women. The initiative is set to expand across various regions in Nigeria, reinforcing the bank's commitment to financial inclusion and women's economic empowerment.

The event attracted several community leaders, including Adedayo Ladega, Sulaimon Kazeem Olanrewaju, and Benson Sundai Ayodel.
