Fidelity Bank Empowers 500 Women with N20m Initiative

Fidelity Bank PLC, in partnership with Matter Charity Foundation, empowered 500 women in Delta State through a life-changing initiative that included a cash donation of N20 million and the distribution of sewing and grinding machines. The event took place in Asaba, where Mr.

Nneka Onyeali-Ikp, Managing Director of Fidelity Bank, emphasized the importance of empowering women for broader economic benefits. Each of the 400 women received cash grants, with 50 beneficiaries receiving grinding machines and another 50 receiving sewing machines to boost their businesses.

Governor Mr. Tobor Oborevwori expressed gratitude for the initiative, describing it as a means to restore hope and strengthen families.

The program aims to create lasting change by addressing immediate community needs and improving women's livelihoods. Deaco Oborevwori announced an additional personal donation of N20 million to increase the cash grants for beneficiaries, highlighting the importance of women's empowerment in strengthening families and communities.
