Abuja Filling Stations Cut Petrol Prices Amid Market Changes

Filling stations in Abuja have begun to reduce petrol pump prices, with major retailers such as AA Rano and Mobil cutting their rates by N25 to N30 per litre. AA Rano has decreased its petrol price from N1,450 to N1,420 per litre, while Mobil has lowered its price from N1,435 to N1,410 per litre.

Despite these reductions, the new rates remain above N1,400 per litre. The adjustments are occurring amid increased competition among fuel retailers and a decline in international crude oil prices, with Brent crude trading at approximately $103 per barrel and West Texas Intermediate (WTI) at around $100.30 per barrel.

These price changes come against the backdrop of ongoing concerns regarding the impact of fuel prices on the cost of living, as higher petrol prices have contributed to increased transportation costs and affected the prices of goods and services nationwide.
