FirstBank Sponsors GTR West Africa Conference 2026

FirstBank has announced its sponsorship of the Global Trade Review (GTR) West Africa conference, set to take place on April 22-23, 2026, in Lagos. The conference aims to drive trade and investment in West Africa, focusing on analyzing dynamic influences and challenges in the region's trade landscape.

It is expected to convene 450 delegates from 200 companies across 15 countries, featuring 45 speakers, including notable figures such as Nneka Korlei Ndahi, Head of Transaction Banking Sales at FirstBank, and Olusey Thoma, Head of Export Structured Trade Finance at FirstBank. Other speakers include Queenett Durosinmi-Etti, Chief Operating Officer at UAC Nigeria, and Adesanmi Adedayo, Senior Vice President of Structured Trade Finance at Standard Bank Group.

Olayinka Ijabiyi, Group Head of Market and Corporate Communications at FirstBank, emphasized the bank's commitment to supporting the conference and enhancing business development across the region through initiatives like the Pan African Payment Settlement System (PAPSS).
