FirstBank, a leading financial institution in West Africa, has integrated the Pan African Payment Settlement System (PAPSS) into its award-winning digital banking platform, LIT App. This milestone enables customers to make instant and secure cross-border payments in local currencies across Africa.

PAPSS, initiated by the African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank) in partnership with the African Union (AU) and AFCFTA Secretariat, aims to facilitate real-time, low-cost transactions in local currencies among African nations.
