Lawmakers Praise Tinubu for N700bn Osun Road Projects

Five federal lawmakers representing Osun State, including Senators Franci Fadahunsi and Olubiyi Fadeyi, commended President Bola Tinubu for approving N700 billion for federal road projects in the state. They issued a statement in Osogbo on Saturday, warning against misinformation regarding the project's origin and execution.

The lawmakers emphasized the importance of accurately attributing the project to the federal government and urged Governor Ademola Adeleke to avoid conflicts over project ownership. Adeleke had previously met with Minister of Works David Umahi to request refunds for specific road projects.

The approved projects include the dualization of the Ikirun-Ila Odo road and the Ibadan-Iwo-Osogbo road, which are expected to enhance economic development in Osun State. The lawmakers also acknowledged the federal government's commitment to road rehabilitation and urged for continued support during the execution of these projects.
