Oluwo Iwo Praises Tinubu for Road Reconstruction Approval

Oluwo Iwo, Oba Abdulroshe Akanbi, commended President Bola Tinubu for the approval of the full reconstruction of the Osogbo-Iwo-Ibadan road, which has been in a deplorable state for nearly ten years. In a statement released on Friday and made available on Saturday by Punch Press Secretary Alli Ibraheem, the monarch described the development as a major relief for residents and a burden lifted from their shoulders.

The road serves as a significant link between Osun and Oyo states and has posed serious challenges for motorists, traders, and residents due to its condition. Oba Akanbi noted that the reconstruction would enhance economic and commercial activities in Iwo land and strengthen the long-standing socio-economic ties between the two states.

He expressed appreciation on behalf of 35 traditional rulers in the domain and reaffirmed support for Tinubu's re-election bid, hoping for greater dividends of democracy. The road had been largely abandoned for nearly a decade, prompting the monarch's intervention to mobilize construction materials and supervise rehabilitation work.
