Gamble Alert Celebrates 5 Years of Responsible Gaming

Gamble Alert celebrated its five-year anniversary at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Ikeja, where it outlined its vision for the next half-decade. The organization focuses on a holistic approach to player protection and aims to strengthen regulatory compliance within the gaming industry.

Olajid Boladuro, the Director General of the Oyo State Game Board, praised Gamble Alert's resilience and commitment to responsible gaming. The organization has collaborated with 20 operators, conducting structured research and data collection across 34 states to understand gambling harm at the community level.

It has also implemented educational outreach programs in Lagos, Osun, Oyo, and Ogun states. Moving forward, Gamble Alert plans to open a physical office in Lagos to enhance its brand outreach and continue its mission.

The board is led by Professor Peter Olamakinde, with members including Olabimp Akingba and Veroniqu Do Rei. Olafadek Akeju, a former lottery board member, emphasized the importance of the organization's work in the gaming sector.
