NDPA Commends PINL for Flood Management Efforts

The Niger Delta Progressive Alliance (NDPA) praised Pipeline Infrastructure Nigeria Limited (PINL) for its effective pipeline surveillance and community interventions during recent flooding in the Niger Delta. The NDPA noted that PINL's operational efficiency and maintenance of pipeline corridors prevented environmental damage, preserving farmlands and aquatic ecosystems.

In a statement by Convener Nse Victor Udoh, the NDPA highlighted that this flood season was unique, with no reported cases of oil contamination or ecological damage from pipeline failures. The group emphasized that regular monitoring and right-of-way surveillance allowed PINL to address potential threats proactively.

Additionally, the NDPA commended PINL for its restoration efforts in flood-affected communities in Rivers, Bayelsa, and Imo States, as well as its empowerment programs for women and youths. Udoh stated that these initiatives reflect a commitment to community welfare and development.

The alliance urged PINL to maintain its standards in protecting critical infrastructure and enhancing host-community welfare.
