PINL Strengthens Community Relations in Niger Delta

Pipeline Infrastructure Nigeria Limited (PINL), under the leadership of Managing Director Osahon Okunbo, enhanced its community relations in the Niger Delta during the Stakeholders’ Engagement Forum held on October 9 and 10, 2026, in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, and Yenagoa, Bayelsa State. The forum gathered traditional rulers, youth leaders, environmental advocates, and community representatives, who reaffirmed their commitment to peaceful relations and the protection of pipeline infrastructure.
Dr. Akpos Mezeh, General Manager of Community and Stakeholders Relations at PINL, reported two consecutive months without pipeline vandalization, attributing this success to collaboration among stakeholders, including host communities and security agencies. He emphasized the importance of cooperation for protecting national infrastructure and achieving Nigeria's oil and gas production targets for 2027 and 2030.
Mezeh also noted that PINL's surveillance operations have created over 35,000 jobs and provided ₦2 billion in scholarships to more than 1,500 students. He urged stakeholders to dismiss unfounded allegations against the company.
