FMBN Disburses N9.5bn Loans for Housing in Nasarawa

The Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria (FMBN) has financed 1,590 housing units in Nasarawa State and disbursed over N9.5 billion in home renovation loans to 10,601 civil servants. Shehu Osidi, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of FMBN, announced these figures during a visit from Nasarawa State Governor Abdullahi Sule at the bank's headquarters in Abuja.

The initiatives are part of FMBN's collaboration with the Nasarawa state government to improve access to affordable housing and enhance worker welfare. Osidi noted that N94.7 million has been disbursed to 29 beneficiaries under the Owner-Occupier Housing Scheme.

Additionally, over N1.02 billion has been refunded to 5,462 retirees from Nasarawa State from the National Housing Fund contributions. Osidi emphasized the bank's commitment to President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Housing Programme and reported significant growth in National Housing Fund collections and refunds.

He recognized Nasarawa as a strong partner in housing development, recalling its early support for the Renewed Hope Housing Project.
