Bella Threatens Legal Action Against Sheggz for Abuse

Bella, a former contestant on the reality show BBNaija, is preparing to take legal action against her ex-boyfriend Sheggz for breach of promise to marry and allegations of domestic abuse. Bella's legal team responded to a cease-and-desist notice from Sheggz's lawyers, who accused her of making defamatory statements and demanded a retraction and apology.

Bella's lawyers countered that Sheggz had repeatedly promised to marry her publicly and privately since they met during the 2022 BBNaija season. They argue that this breach has caused Bella significant emotional distress and reputational damage.

Additionally, they allege that Sheggz subjected Bella to domestic abuse, including restricting her movement and inflicting physical and emotional harm. Bella's legal team has demanded that Sheggz cease all unwanted contact with her and indicated that she is prepared to petition the Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency and pursue civil proceedings for the alleged abuse.

They also claimed Sheggz obtained loans from Bella under false pretenses, although the total value of these loans was not specified.
