Chinwe Iloghalu Nominated for AMTY Banker of the Year

Chinwe Iloghalu, who served as the acting Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Nova Bank, has been nominated for the AMTY Banker of the Year Award for 2025. The nomination was conveyed through a letter issued by the organizers of the Anambra Man of the Year Award, with the ceremony scheduled to be held in Awka, Anambra State, in July 2026.

Iloghalu was selected for this recognition due to her significant contributions to the banking industry and her leadership record across various institutions. She was appointed as the acting MD and CEO of Nova Bank in November 2024 and has previously served as Executive Director at several banks, including the Institute Commercial Bank and Polari Bank.

With 28 years of experience in the financial services sector, Iloghalu has worked with notable institutions such as Equatorial Trust Bank, Ecobank Nigeria Plc, and Zenith Bank Plc. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Chemistry from the University of Benin and an MBA from ESUT Business School.

Additionally, she is a fellow of the Institute of Credit Administration and an honorary senior member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria.
