CKOi Okunenyeife Foundation Donates N5m to UNIZIK

The CKOi Okunenyeife Foundation, led by Dr. Charles Kenechukwu Ojukwu, donated N5 million to Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK) in Awka for the reconstruction of the walkway pavilion connecting the old Medical Centre with the newly constructed University Medical Centre building. The donation was presented at the office of the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Ugochukwu Bond Stanley Anyaehie, in preparation for the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN) accreditation exercise.

Mr. Sylvester Ojiugo, the Manager of the foundation, and Dr. Chibuike Abunike, a university lecturer, represented Ojukwu during the presentation. Ojukwu, a Canada-based medical doctor and philanthropist, aims to support his alma mater through various initiatives.

The foundation had previously pledged support during Ojukwu's visit in June 2026. The Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Administration), Prof. Hilda Osisioma, and the Director of Medical Services, Dr. Jane Ezeonu, expressed gratitude for the donation, emphasizing the importance of partnerships for the university's growth.
