IGAHAF Awards Scholarships and Laptops to 700 Students

The IK Aguowo Health and Academic Foundation (IGAHAF) has provided scholarships and laptops to over 700 youths from 12 states in Nigeria over the past six years. Chief Ignatius Aguowo, the founder and Chairman of the Board of Trustees, announced this during the 6th Annual Education Summit held in Awka.

Aguowo stated that the foundation aims to close the education gap, alleviate poverty, and support academic aspirations. Currently, IGAHAF sponsors more than 700 beneficiaries across the nation.

Dr. Ebuka Onunkwo, the Chairman of the occasion and candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress, praised IGAHAF for its alignment with his principles and for offering free healthcare alongside educational support. Dr. Nwabufo Nwankwo, the Permanent Secretary in Anambra State, commended Aguowo for his humanitarian efforts, while Dr. Ekene Oguguo, the Commissioner for Education in Anambra, credited IGAHAF for contributing to the state’s low out-of-school children rate.

Gloria Abanihe, the Executive Director of IGAHAF, expressed the goal of extending educational support to 10,000 students.
