Pistis Foundation Launches Free Healthcare Outreach in Ibadan

The Pistis Foundation, the social intervention arm of The Elevation Church, is conducting a five-day free medical and surgical outreach in Ibadan, Oyo State, known as the 2026 UBOMI healthcare outreach, which commenced on September 21. This initiative is the first time the outreach is being held outside Lagos, with plans to assist approximately 5,000 residents who lack access to affordable healthcare.

Leonard F. Thomas, Executive Director of Pistis Foundation, emphasized the importance of healthcare accessibility for all.

Dr Iko Ibanga, Founder and Executive Director of Pro-Health International, noted that the outreach has successfully provided surgeries for various medical conditions over the past six years, achieving a 99 percent success rate. Pastor Oluwaseun Afolayan, Resident Pastor of The Elevation Church, stated that the program is open to all, regardless of religion or politics.

Oyo State Commissioner for Health, Dr Oluwaserimi Ajetunmobi, commended the foundation and urged further support for healthcare improvement in the state. Since 2019, UBOMI has facilitated 48,706 medical interventions.
