France established an early lead, shooting 80% in the first quarter and ending it with a 27-15 advantage. Nigeria struggled initially but began to find their rhythm in the second quarter, led by veteran guard Ezinn Kalu, who sparked a scoring burst.

Despite Nigeria's efforts, France maintained their lethal long-range shooting, converting 69% of their three-point attempts by halftime, leading 57-45. Nigeria emerged stronger in the third quarter, narrowing the gap to 57-50.

However, France responded effectively, and despite a late surge from Nigeria that cut the deficit to two points at 76-74, France secured the win. Nigeria has already qualified for the 2026 Women's World Cup and will conclude their campaign against Germany on Tuesday.
