Rufai Oseni Critiques Tinubu's Vacation Power Absence

Rufai Oseni, a Nigerian media personality, criticized President Bola Tinubu for not formally handing over power during his recent vacation in France, stating that this action sets a bad precedent. During an appearance on ARISE Television’s Morning Show, Oseni described the National Assembly, led by Senate President Godswill Akpabio, as a "big rubber stamp" for failing to hold Tinubu accountable for his absence.

He highlighted that both Akpabio and the Vice President were also out of the country while Tinubu was abroad, questioning their roles during this period. Oseni remarked that the lack of accountability from the National Assembly allows the President to act without regard for constitutional protocols.

He further criticized the public reception Tinubu received upon his return, noting that supporters welcomed him despite his constitutional breach, stating, “So today, we now welcome back people who break and violate the Constitution and clap for them.”.
