Nigerian Golfer Francis Epe Qualifies for 2026 Magical Kenya Open

Nigerian professional golfer Francis Epe has secured a spot in the 2026 Magical Kenya Open, a prestigious event on the DP World Tour scheduled for February 19-22 at the Karen Country Club in Nairobi, Kenya. Epe earned his qualification by emerging as the champion at the sixth CIO Golf Classic stage in November 2025 at the Python Golf Club in Port Harcourt, Nigeria.

The championship featured a strong field of 100 professional golfers competing for a prize purse of $50,000. The CIO Championship, sponsored by Keev Global, serves as a unique platform in West Africa, integrating the Safari Tour mini-league qualification system.

This victory marks a significant milestone for Nigerian golf, with Ikenna Okafor, the Chief Executive Officer of Keev Global, emphasizing the importance of nurturing local talent and raising standards in the Nigerian golf scene.
