FRC Finalizes Strategic Plan to Enhance Governance and Combat Corruption in Nigeria

The Fiscal Responsibility Commission (FRC) in Nigeria has completed a five-year revised strategic plan to improve public financial management and transparency in line with the Fiscal Responsibility Act. The plan includes expanding collaboration with the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offenses Commission (ICPC) and the Debt Management Office (DMO) to strengthen governance and combat corruption.

Victor Muruako, FRC Chairman, commended ICPC for its anti-corruption efforts, emphasizing the importance of inter-agency collaboration. The memorandum of understanding signed between FRC and ICPC marks a significant step towards enhancing accountability and tackling corruption at all levels of government.
