Jane Mena criticized Ibom Air for allowing an influencer, Comfort Emmanson, to defend herself after she was accused of deliberately stripping a passenger and posting a video online. Mena slammed the airline for shifting public attention away from the passenger's behavior onto the airline's actions.

She shared her own experience with a different Nigerian airline while four months pregnant, where she faced difficulties presenting a valid fit-to-fly document on her phone. Despite airline protocol allowing a document to be valid for 72 hours, the air hostess insisted it must be printed and dated the exact day of travel.

Mena was eventually ordered to disembark by the pilot, leading her to buy another ticket and continue her journey without causing a scene. Mena called for Comfort Emmanson to be freed and allowed to defend herself in the Ibom Air controversy.
