Court Fixes Hearing Date for Suit Against Sowore Over #FreeNnamdiKanu Protest

The Federal High Court in Abuja has scheduled a hearing for October 29 on a police suit against Omoyele Sowore and others for organizing the #FreeNnamdiKanu protest. Justice Moham Umar issued an interim order restraining protests near sensitive areas in Abuja.

The suit lists Sowore, Sahara Reporters, and others as respondents. Nnamdi Kanu's brother and ten others are set to be arraigned on October 24 at the Kuje Magistrate Court.

The protest demands the release of Nnamdi Kanu, the IPOB leader facing multiple charges since his extradition and re-arrest in Nigeria.
