INEC Faces Backlash Over ADC Leadership Recognition Issue

Fresh details have emerged regarding the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) refusing to acknowledge the new leadership of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) coalition, led by former Senate President David Mark. Despite the formal unveiling of the new leadership in July in Abuja, which included prominent figures like Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi, INEC has not updated its website to reflect the changes.

This omission has raised concerns within the party and among supporters ahead of the 2023 elections. The newly announced National Working Committee (NWC) of ADC includes key members like Bolaji Abdullahi and Babachir Lawal.

The failure of INEC to recognize the new leadership has sparked controversy within the political landscape.
