Kaduna State Ranks 3rd in Nigeria's Climate Governance Scorecard

Kaduna State has achieved the 3rd position in Nigeria's subnational climate governance scorecard, marking a significant milestone in its climate journey. Led by Societi Planet Prosper (SPP) partnership and the Department of Climate Change under the Federal Ministry of Environment, Kaduna's rise from 16th to 3rd position in 2025 reflects strategic decisions, reforms, and increased budgetary allocations to enhance climate policies and actions.

Governor Uba Sani unveiled a 10-year climate change policy in August 2024, focusing on reducing emissions, enhancing climate resilience, and integrating climate considerations into state planning.
