Fubara Defects from APC to NDC, Prioritizes River State

Fubara, the Governor of River State, has officially defected from the All Progressives Congress (APC) to the National Democratic Congress (NDC). He made this announcement during a public declaration in Abuja, where he received support from national leaders and stakeholders of the NDC.

Fubara described his move as a decision made in the interest of the people of River State. He stressed the importance of focusing on the needs of the citizens.

Concurrently, Fubara's administration is facing criticism, particularly from the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, who accused him of prioritizing his second-term ambitions over governance. This criticism arose during a media chat in Abuja, where it was alleged that Fubara had reneged on an agreement not to seek re-election.

In response, Nzeshi Dure, the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, dismissed these allegations as false, asserting that Fubara remains committed to overseeing infrastructure projects across the state.
