PDP Chieftain Downplays Governor Fubara's Defection to APC

The defection of Governor Siminalayi Fubara from PDP to APC is viewed by PDP chieftain Hakeem Olalemi as a personal quest for protection rather than a loss to the party. Olalemi emphasized that Fubara's move was driven by a desire for political security.

The chieftain also refuted claims of internal party crises being linked to the defection, attributing any challenges in River State to existing issues. Governor Fubara's decision to support President Bola Tinubu was highlighted during a stakeholders' meeting in Port Harcourt.

PDP is confident of stabilizing and progressing despite Fubara's departure.
