ADC Urges Supreme Court Interpretation on Emergency Powers Amid Fubara's Return

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has called on the Supreme Court to interpret Section 305 of the Constitution following the return of Rivers State Governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, after a six-month suspension. The ADC criticized President Bola Tinubu's handling of the situation, describing it as setting a dangerous precedent.

The party emphasized that emergency powers should not be used for political purposes but to address genuine public dangers. The ADC urged the judiciary, especially the Supreme Court, to take a clear stance on the matter to prevent the misuse of constitutional provisions for political gains.
