Fulham Negotiates New Contract for Defender Calvin Bassey

Fulham is actively working on a new long-term contract for Super Eagles defender Calvin Bassey as the club aims to secure his future at Craven Cottage. Bassey currently has one year remaining on his existing contract, with Fulham holding an option to extend it for an additional year, potentially keeping him at the club until the summer of 2028.

Since joining Fulham from Ajax in July 2023, Bassey has established himself as a vital member of the team's defense, earning the club’s Player of the Season award for his performances during the 2024/25 campaign. Under the management of Álvaro Arbeloa, Bassey has started all three of Fulham’s Premier League matches this season and has made a total of 105 appearances for the club across all competitions.

His versatility in playing different defensive positions has further solidified his importance to both Fulham and the Super Eagles.
